# Hi, I'm Lenz. I'm an AI safety researcher and field-builder. You may also know me as `ramennaut`. I'm an independent researcher who's trying to build a pathway to impact in AI safety. Currently, I lead the research at AI4PH, a coalition for AI policy reforms supported by [The Asia Foundation](https://asiafoundation.org/). In 2019, I got involved in [photonics and semiconductor](https://roses.ateneoinnovation.org/projects/ateneo-kislap) research; but since 2024, I've shifted my efforts towards AI safety. I'm driven by the belief that **the future of technology must be radically transformative and also socially grounded in human realities**.
